OPELIKA, JANUARY 21, 2026: On January, 20, 2026, just a little over a year after his initial announcement to run for Lt. Governor of Alabama, Dean Odle officially qualified at the GOP Headquarters in Hoover, Alabama. Odle was surrounded by family, friends and supporters as he signed the submitted the required paperwork and paid the fee to appear on the Republican Primary ballot on May 19, 2026.
Dean Odle is an outspoken proponent of election integrity through the use of paper ballots, DHR/Child Protective Services reform, the elimination of property tax, the reduction of taxes and federal funding, standing up for states' rights, and no strings attached school choice. This no compromise approach is what has some establishment Republicans wanting to kick Odle off of the Republican ballot. Regarding his strong stances on various controversial topics Odle said, "You are either a patriot or a politician. A patriot will sacrifice their money, career, winning the next election and even life to do the right thing for God and country. A politician is a game playing, crowd pleasing, performer who is looking out for themself."
