Reckless tariffs and cuts to health care have been devastating for Wisconsin farmers.

Donald Trump ran on promises to lower costs on day one and to not leave rural families and family farms behind. Yet we’re seeing just the opposite. 

Cuts to the Affordable Care Act would devastate local farms like the dairy farm I visited in Cambridge this month. Just about a quarter of farmers use the ACA marketplace to access affordable health care and without extensions on ACA subsidies, farmers will face higher costs — making it nearly impossible to make ends meet.

I will not throw in the towel on affordable healthcare. That’s why I’m working every day in Washington to protect affordable care for every Wisconsinite, especially the farmers that keep food on the table and our communities running.
