We are, unfortunately, at a point in our politics where we have to figure out how to stop a president from invading an American ally just to satisfy his ego.
That is not hyperbole. That is actually how Donald Trump makes foreign policy decisions. Trump is publicly threatening actions that could put American service members in direct conflict with NATO allies because he did not get a Nobel Peace Prize.
He is risking American lives because he didn't get something he wanted. My daughters understand and accept the word "no" better than the President. Let that sink in.
Donald Trump is a petulant child and a national humiliation. But we did not get here overnight.
After January 6th, there was bipartisan agreement that Trump had disgraced the office and should never wield this power again. Now, those same Republicans are pretending none of that happened and voting lockstep with his agenda.
Enough.
We need to defeat Donald Trump once and for all. We need leaders who understand actions have consequences, and we need leaders who have stood on the front lines and felt the consequences of failed leadership. That is why I am running for Senate.
