WASHINGTON, D.C. – America First Legal (AFL) has announced that it will provide legal representation to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and agents who have been unlawfully defamed, targeted, or falsely accused in the wake of violent anti-immigration enforcement riots and coordinated smear campaigns.
Across the country, ICE officers enforcing federal immigration law have been subjected to false accusations, doxxing, harassment, and reputational attacks designed to intimidate them and undermine lawful enforcement. According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), reported assaults against ICE officers from January 20 to December 31, 2025, increased by 1,347% compared to the same period in 2024. DHS also reported a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks against ICE officers from January 21, 2025, to January 7, 2026, compared to the same period the prior year. AFL will fight back — holding accountable individuals and organizations that spread defamatory lies and endanger law enforcement officers and their families.
“ICE officers are being viciously smeared and attacked for doing their jobs. When activists and America-hating operatives publish lies, incite mobs, and target officers, they are engaging in lawless intimidation. AFL will not allow officers to be sacrificed to appease a violent political movement,” said Gene Hamilton, President of America First Legal.
AFL’s initiative will provide support to ICE officers and agents who have been subjected to false claims of criminal misconduct, “murder” accusations, edited or misleading video narratives, false media reports, coordinated social media harassment, doxxing, and other defamatory attacks arising from enforcing federal law.
America First Legal encourages current and former ICE officers who have been defamed, doxxed, or targeted to contact our organization to explore their legal options.
