Lately, it feels like the weight of the world is on our shoulders.
Donald Trump and his goons are wreaking havoc in our communities, turning
our economy upside down, and making life worse for us — all while sending
billions of our tax dollars overseas to fuel genocide.
And I know I’m not alone in feeling this frustration.
So the question is simple,
John: What
are we going to do about it?
One thing that would make a tangible difference is winning back the Senate
and using our majority to stop awful MAGA bills like this from seeing the
light of day. 👇

But first, we have to decide, together, what kind of Democratic Party
we’re going to be if we want to win back the trust of voters — and
unfortunately, we’re not there yet.
There is no issue where the Democratic Party’s internal crisis is more
visible than Gaza.
Across this country — among Democrats, independents, young voters — people
are horrified that our tax dollars are being used to enable the bombing,
starvation, and genocide of children and families of Gaza.
Yet too many establishment leaders are still pretending nothing has
changed. The silence is LOUD. And some candidates are falling in line with
this strategy. Here’s what that looks like in our primary:
1. One candidate is openly embraced by AIPAC and other pro-Israel groups
like DMFI. They’ve taken the money. They’ve voted to send billions
more overseas. And they refuse to even acknowledge the reality
unfolding in Gaza.
2. Another candidate has treated this entire issue like an inconvenience
— attending closed-door AIPAC events, praising the Israel Defense
Forces, dismissing the outrage as a “political purity test,” and only
very recently, and very reluctantly, recognizing what the rest of the
world already knows.
These approaches don’t inspire anyone, and they certainly won’t move
people to believe in or fight for our vision.
Meanwhile, the establishment and groups like AIPAC are doing their best to
squash the next generation of qualified Democratic candidates (myself
included) on the basis that they are not “pro-Israel” enough.
If we’re going to withstand that pressure and win, we need to stick
together and send an unmistakable message about where the Democratic Party
needs to go. If you’re able, donating even a small amount helps us do
that:

John, I’ve
been clear from day one: No more taxpayer dollars for genocide.
And because I’ve taken that stand — because I refuse AIPAC money and
corporate PAC money — this race has become something bigger than just
Michigan.
There is an open conflict inside the Democratic Party. Between those who
believe our path forward runs through moral clarity and people-powered
movements, and those who believe the safest route is staying quiet and
keeping donors comfortable.
That conflict is going to be decided in races like ours,
John.
And now that it’s officially the election year, the stakes just got real.
The money raised right now determines who builds the strongest organizing
operation, who gets the most ads on the air, and who defines the narrative
before Michigan is flooded with outside spending.
That’s why your support matters so much.
When we post strong grassroots fundraising numbers early in the year, it
sends a clear signal — to the media, to party leadership, to AIPAC and
every other special interest watching closely — that this campaign is not
fringe, not symbolic, and not going away.
If you’re able, I’m asking you to chip in today to help us start this
election year strong:

Every contribution helps us build early, organize everywhere, and show
that this movement is bigger than any AIPAC check.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
In solidarity,
Abdul
