Dear John,
This week marks the fifty-second annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. But as we march this year, pro-lifers and Christians must confront a startling fact:
Today, we have more abortions each year than we did before the Dobbs decision.
When the Dobbs Supreme Court decision was handed down, overturning Roe v. Wade, many of us celebrated. It should have been the first link in a chain of blows to abortion's culture of death.
But that's not what happened.
Instead, the Biden administration made the most of this "setback" and opened the floodgates for the abortion drug. Their DOJ reinterpreted the Comstock Act which outlaws the mailing of abortion materials, and their FDA dropped safety standards surrounding abortion drugs like mifepristone -- allowing these "kill pills" to be ordered online and taken (or given) without any consultation or medical oversight.
Unfortunately, these policies didn't end when Biden left the White House. While taking many steps in the right direction on life, sadly, the Trump administration has allowed this Biden-era policy to continue.
And while we should all be extraordinarily grateful for the pro-life actions this president has taken -- like signing executive orders that ended taxpayer-funded abortions overseas and the One Big Beautiful Bill that took the first step toward defunding abortion providers -- some things are not adding up.
Despite promising to conduct a comprehensive review of the abortion drug, the FDA has slow walked the process and instead of pulling it from the market in the interim, has even approved another generic version of this "kill pill"!
If stopping drug boats loaded with fatal and illicit drugs like Fentanyl is a priority for the administration, then why isn't stopping the life-ending and illegal abortion drug pipeline that's already inside the country?
The over 1 million unborn babies who have been killed in their mother's womb each year for the past several years deserved better. Those who can't speak need someone to speak for them.
For over 40 years, Family Research Council has served as one of the leading voices in the pro-life movement and has urged lawmakers -- repeatedly -- to not compromise on the fundamental issue of life.
When you stand with FRC, you are championing the right to life, and letting Congress and the administration know that we will not accept inaction or counterproductive measures when it comes to saving lives made in God's image.
I STAND WITH FRC AND THE UNBORN
In moments like these, where compromise might seem politically viable or tempting, believers need to rally the voices of others to remind our leaders that they are being watched, and that life is not something that can ever be tossed aside.
That's why last week, I helped to coordinate a press conference on this very issue with key pro-life members of Congress and state attorneys general -- to urge the administration to take action and defend the unborn.
On the same day, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrell testified during a Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing on this topic.
As Liz said, "Activists have created an organized and dangerous scheme of drug dealing protected by politicians..."
It's our job to make sure we put the magnifying glass up to our leaders and keep them accountable to their word.
But there is no reason why ostensibly pro-life politicians should be afraid of this issue. According to a poll conducted last year by Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, there is bipartisan support for restoring pre-Biden safety guidelines for Mifepristone.
Sixty three percent of respondents, including many who hold pro-abortion beliefs, believe in-person consultation with a healthcare professional should be a requirement before receiving these drugs!
Thankfully, many in Congress are beginning to speak up and stand with us on this issue, and now, they are calling on the administration to do the same.
Today, I'm asking you to stand with us too.
Will you partner with FRC to send a message to our leaders that pro-lifers and believers still care about life? Together we can leverage strategic influence in Washington D.C., and advance protections for the unborn.

This Friday, as hundreds of thousands gather to stand with the unborn, our presence in Washington is a reminder that the pro-life movement is not fading, fracturing, or retreating -- it is standing firm.
And this January, as we begin to reflect more deeply on the 250th anniversary of our nation, I'm reminded of this timeless truth from the Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Nearly two and a half centuries later, those words still demand something of us.
As we prepare to march for life -- let's not just march, let's make sure we are in lockstep. Because the unborn are counting on us.
