I will never forget that unions are the backbone of the Democratic Party. But it goes beyond that.

Everyone deserves a fair shot. We all deserve dignity in our work, fair compensation, and health benefits. It shouldn't be hard, and it shouldn't be political.

That's why I'm walking with nurses on the picket lines in NYC.

When our nurses are cared for and compensated fairly, we all do better.

I talk a lot about what it means to believe in community and fight for better. Union strikes like this are exactly what I mean.

There's so much we can do to stand up and be there for each other. I live that every day now, and I'll live it in Congress too.

But under this corrupt administration, it's not a fair fight. Corporate interests are being put above the people in every instance. We're stuck in a cycle of fighting for the bare minimum because of greed at the top.

We need real, substantial change from Congress. I'm ready to bring it. Will you chip in to my campaign today so I can keep up the fight in Congress?
