Jack,

Like so many of you, I am horrified and outraged by the actions of ICE across our country. Hate like this is the result of policies advanced and defended by the Trump administration.

It has no place in New Mexico or our country. We must continue standing together against the fear and harm being inflicted on families nationwide.

This week, Governor Lujan Grisham was joined by other Democrats in the legislature in calling for banning ICE facilities from New Mexico. This measure will help protect the people who call our state home.

This Administration is using ICE to create life-threatening situations and force compliance with the extremism that is threatening our democracy.

I’m running for Lieutenant Governor to fight back against this kind of hate and extremism. Because I know that New Mexico is special and deserves better. All of our state’s residents deserve a bright future without the threat of ICE.
