Friend, today marks one year since Donald Trump was sworn in as President of the United States.

I want to start this email by acknowledging that this has been an incredibly difficult year – for Ohio’s families, for our democracy, and for so many of us across the nation who care deeply about taking on the corporate special interests rigging the system.

But I also want to acknowledge that this movement has never backed down from a fight, and we’re not about to start now.

This year's midterm elections are our chance to send Donald Trump and his Republicans a message by defeating them at the ballot box. Will you chip in today to elect Ohio Democrats, take back Congress, and finally put a check on this corrupt administration? [link removed]

One year ago, Trump made a lot of promises:

He promised to bring prices down. Instead, the cost of everything from groceries to rent to utility bills to childcare has skyrocketed.

He promised to lower healthcare prices and increase coverage. Then he signed a bill into law that stripped healthcare access from over 490,000 Ohioans and could close up to 11 rural hospitals in Ohio.

And every step of the way, Ohio Republicans have enabled him.

They’re more concerned about staying on Trump’s good side than standing up for Ohioans. Now, their billionaire, out-of-state wealthy donors are preparing to spend big in Ohio to buy the GOP victory again so they can continue to rubber-stamp Trump's dangerous agenda.

We need grassroots supporters like you to help us fight back. What we raise in the early months of the election year determines whether we have the resources and staff we need to counter Republican spending, elect Ohio Democrats, take back control of Congress, and make the next year better than the last.
