The first major election of 2026 is here, and it is in Wisconsin...again.

After last year’s blowout, Democrats hold a 4-3 majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Now, another seat is open this April. If Democrats win, we expand that to a 5-2 majority and lock down the court until at least 2030.

MAGA knows what is at stake. In 2025, they tried to seize control of the courts in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania because those courts have the final say over election laws and election results. If they had succeeded, they would have had the power to rig 2026 and 2028 in their favor.

This April, we can make sure Trump never has a chance to get his tiny, discolored hands on Wisconsin again.

MAGA’s candidate in this election is Maria Lazar, and she’s made her career pushing MAGA’s most extreme policies. She fought for gerrymandering, voter ID, and abortion bans while working inside Wisconsin’s DOJ.

Anti abortion. Pro gerrymandering. Pro voter suppression. A nightmare for democracy.

This is a must win election for Democrats.

That’s why Defend Our Courts is gearing up to make a major impact in this election. Last year, MAGA tried to buy the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. We stopped them. Democrats won by 30 points, and in Philly, where we concentrated a majority of our efforts, turnout surged 34 percent, the biggest jump in the state.

Now we are taking the same winning formula to Wisconsin.

But we are worried. This race is flying under the radar at the moment, and MAGA is already moving. We emptied our war chest to win Pennsylvania, and now we have just four months to get ready for April. We cannot let Republicans sneak in and take control of a court that decides who gets to vote and whose votes count.
