Today marks one year since Donald Trump returned to the White House.
It’s been a hell of a year, John.
Today marks one year since Donald Trump returned to the White House, and it saddens me to say that our country has only gone backwards.
Since Trump took office:
- Jobs for workers without college degrees have fallen by hundreds of thousands.
- Manufacturing jobs have disappeared. Wage growth has slowed.
- Electricity bills are higher. Groceries cost more. And tariffs have driven up the price of everyday essentials.
- Attacks on Yemen and Venezuela were conducted without congressional approval.
- Trump is threatening to seize Greenland by force.
- We’ve experienced nationwide ICE raids marked by illegal arrests, violence, and even deaths, tearing thousands of families apart.
This is what authoritarianism looks like, John.
This last year has been difficult to say the least, but I refuse to stand idly by while Trump destroys our country.
I have been fighting every day to slow the harm, demand accountability, and stand up for workers, immigrants, and families. But the single biggest way we can begin to undo this damage is by flipping the House.
A Democratic House majority means real oversight. Real investigations. Real leverage to rein in Trump’s abuses of power and block the worst of his agenda. But we’re going to need the resources and the grassroots power to make that happen.
If you believe our country deserves better than chaos, cruelty, and corruption, will you pitch in $3 to help power our fight against Trump and his authoritarian regime?
