John,
At the end of last year, I reached out with a unique request: I asked you to
personally endorse my first re-election campaign.
Hundreds added their name, and I’m grateful to start the midterm election year with grassroots support, but according to our records you haven’t signed on quite yet.
Your signature of support couldn’t come at a more important time. I was one of the only Democrats to flip a GOP-held seat in 2024, and with the House majority on the line this November, national Republicans will do anything to win it back.
I’m laser-focused on delivering for CA-27 in Congress -- from tackling the affordability crisis to protecting our firefighters.
Will you stand with me today by endorsing my campaign?
Thank you,
George
P.S. I’ve attached my original message for your convenience. I look forward to
seeing your name on my list of endorsers at this critical juncture.

Subject: Asking for your endorsement, not a donation.
John,
If your inbox looks anything like mine, you’re receiving a lot of fundraising pleas from candidates like me running for office.
Today, I’m not asking for a donation of your hard-earned money. Instead, I’m only asking for your signature of support.
Will you sign on now to endorse my re-election campaign, then let me explain how this makes an impact?
My first re-election campaign to keep CA-27 blue is about to kick into high gear:
- Despite Proposition 50 redrawing Congressional lines in California, political experts at Sabato’s Crystal Ball still rank this race as one of the most competitive nationwide. Three seats separate House control, and we can’t lose an inch.
- This summer, a GOP challenger entered the race with a day one endorsement from Mike Garcia -- the Republican incumbent I defeated to become one of the only Democrats to flip a red seat in 2024. We’re preparing for an onslaught of outside spending and attacks in the new year.
I’m counting on 1,000 citizen endorsers to sign on today to send an undeniable message of strength: Will you personally endorse my campaign in Congress to keep up the good fight?
Thank you,
George
