Dear John,

Before the election, Mark Carney said China was Canada’s biggest security threat. Now mere months later, he has quietly announced a so-called “strategic partnership” with Beijing.

This deal would allow nearly 50,000 Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) onto Canadian roads, putting our national security and auto jobs at risk.

This all represents a significant shift. The Prime Minister owes it to Canadians to explain his thinking on this.

Canada’s auto sector is already bleeding jobs—thousands lost in recent months, with more at risk as the Liberals cling to an unrealistic, punitive EV mandate and fail to secure a U.S. auto deal.

Opening our market to heavily-subsidized Chinese EVs—which are produced under poor labour standards and invite serious surveillance concerns—is not a win for Canada.

Canadians deserve a government that puts Canada first—one that protects our security, our jobs, and our sovereignty.

That’s exactly what Conservatives will continue to fight for.

If you are able, please support my work. Grassroots supporters like you allow me to do what I do. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Raquel
