First: Donald Trump handed down orders for red states to redraw their congressional districts to target and ruthlessly eliminate as many Democratic blue seats in their states as possible. Texas, Missouri, and North Carolina immediately passed newly gerrymandered maps.

Then: in a shocking and unexpected development, Indiana lawmakers rejected Trump’s aggressive push to redraw their congressional map.

Now: Trump and his henchmen are pledging fire and fury for GOP lawmakers who defied them in Indiana, applying maximum pressure in the hopes they will flip and vote to eliminate another 1-2 blue seats there.

Things are moving fast now that both Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance are targeting Indiana GOP lawmakers with retribution if they don’t fall in line and do what Trump wants. 

Indiana could flip at any time. We need to keep working to counter any gains MAGA might make by pushing blue states to take up redistricting in response.
