2024 → Republicans won all four of our House seats, strengthened their majorities in the state legislature, and voted significantly more Republican than the nation.

2026 → The year Iowa Democrats win.

Iowans have gotten their hopes up only to have been let down for the past ten years. This year is different.

We had six special election overperformances in 2025, and even flipped seats that no one expected. For the first time in years, the Iowa Democratic Party has been revitalized to support all 99 county parties across the state. We have a slate of strong Democratic candidates who are fundraising well, polling close, and generating excitement.
