Reminder: Minnesota direct care staffing shortage impact annual survey [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People receiving any type of direct care service and other interested parties
* *Survey deadline:* Feb. 1, 2026
* *Summary:* DHS is conducting an optional, anonymous survey to collect feedback on how the direct care staffing shortage impacts people who receive supports.

 

CFSS implementation updates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive personal care assistance (PCA), Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and CFSS services, families, providers, lead agencies and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.

* *Audience:* Lead agencies, service providers and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS created two new optional resources to help people receiving support increase their communication skills.





Training and event information

Register for positive behavior supports intensive training series [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Providers, social workers and other professionals who support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex or higher-level behavioral needs and receive support through targeted, individualized and intensive positive supports
* *Event dates:* Jan. 27, Feb. 10, Feb. 17, March 3, March 17, April 7, April 28 and May 5, 2026
* *Summary:* Registration is open for an upcoming training series from Project ECHO on targeted, individualized and intensive positive supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

 

Webinar about assistive technology and the aging population [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agency assessors, case managers, care coordinators, providers, people who receive services and caregivers
* *Event date:* Feb. 5, 2026
* *Summary:* Join DHS and Minnesota Networking in Education and Assistive Technology (MN-NEAT) for the webinar, “Assistive Technology for Aging Adults,” on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026.
