Just how bad is the state of California? How did it get this way? What can be done about it? ([link removed])
Murray Rothbard famously stated that “the state is a gang of thieves writ large.”
This is particularly true of the state of California, a vicious parasite infecting one of America’s most beautiful regions. California residents must constantly consider the tradeoffs between excellent weather, majestic mountains, beautiful beaches, and unique history with a constant torrent of manmade disaster, including extravagant tax rates, debilitating regulation, insane state-imposed cultural policy, a government-subsidized homeless crisis, and a state capitol infamous for both its incompetency and corruption.
Just how bad is the state of California? How did it get this way? What can be done about it?
These are the questions the Mises Institute will be answering on April 25th in San Diego.
