The latest proposed rollback from the Trump Administration would be a terrible decision for the climate as well as our wallets.

The Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) program requires car manufacturers to gradually make their vehicles more fuel-efficient over time.

Despite the money this saves Americans on fuel – up to thousands per vehicle – the Department of Transportation is proposing to cut the requirements to boost fuel efficiency from 2% per year to only 0.5% per year, all but defeating the purpose.
