JOHN,
Today, as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we’re reminded that public
education has always been central to the fight for justice, democracy, and
opportunity.
In a 1964 speech, Dr. King said plainly what many are still trying to ignore
today:
“The field of education has been a battleground in the freedom struggle.”
He understood that schools shape who has power, whose stories are told, and
whose futures are protected. That’s why the struggle for equality took hold in
public schools — and why Dr. King helped lead that charge.
Sixty years later, that battleground hasn’t disappeared. On this Martin Luther
King Jr. Day, I’m asking you to stand with us and invest in the fight for
public education — because this battleground still matters.
We’re fighting for public schools to serve all students, not extremist donors,
and we need your help to push back against a well-funded attack on our
classrooms. Chip in today.

We’re organizing a 48-state strategy to confront extremist groups and the
donors funding them — by supporting pro-education candidates, exposing
extremist agendas, and protecting our schools before more damage is done.
Dr. King warned that injustice thrives when good people stay silent.
We can’t allow billionaire-backed extremists to drown out the voices of
parents, educators, and students who believe in truth, inclusion, and
opportunity.
