John,

The truth is, July is shaping up to be one of our most challenging fundraising months all year. We knew the "summer slump" would hit us, especially since we've had to cancel our in-person fundraising events during this pandemic -- but no one expected us to be this far behind our goals with only 100 days until Election Day.

Take a look at these numbers:

- Our total raise for July is 43.7% less than last month
- Individual grassroots donors have decreased by over half
- We're seeing a 38% decrease in our total raised by email

These fundraising numbers are the harsh truth. Unless we see a surge in grassroots donations this week, we're at serious risk of missing our critical end-of-month goal -- right before our primary.

Could you please chip in a donation of $10 or more today? We're asking because it's important, and because you've been one of our most abiding supporters. Anything you can give will make a valuable difference as we reach this defining point of the race.

Thank you! I'll keep you updated on where we land. Take good care.
