Hi JOHN, Today I join you, JOHN, and the rest of the country in reflecting on the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. MLK’s legacy is one of peace and perseverance in the face of racial injustice. He led millions of Americans in the nonviolent fight for civil rights, civil liberties, and freedoms – doing it all peacefully. He never gave into the violence of white supremacy and the far-right. Today, in his honor, we must remember and recommit to our shared fight for equality. The liberties that MLK fought for are being stripped away by Trump’s GOP and the far-right Supreme Court everyday, and it is our responsibility to keep up his fight.
