Today, the world honors and remembers the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

His words and actions have influenced and inspired millions of activists across the nation for decades. One quote that stands out to the MDP team today is:

“The time is always right to do what is right” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

It’s important to use Dr. King’s words and leadership as inspiration as we prepare for this election year in Michigan. Doing what’s right means showing up, organizing, and electing leaders who are fighting to make Michigan a better place for every Michigander.

This year is going to be a challenge, but when we come together and elect Democrats, we continue down the path toward progress and move this country forward.

Today, on the day that we honor Dr. King’s life and legacy, we can recommit our shared promise to overcome the difficulties of our work to make a better, more just, and fair America for everyone.
