This week, I’m reflecting on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and on the enduring hope and resilience that continue to inspire our work here in Maryland.

Dr. King was a courageous leader who believed deeply in equality and justice for all. Through peaceful protest, community engagement, spiritual leadership and collective action, he showed us that meaningful change is possible when we work together with purpose and conviction.

While we have made important progress, much of it is under threat, and there is still work ahead. We must continue striving to ensure Maryland is a place where everyone has a fair opportunity to live, work, play, and thrive.

Dr. King’s vision of a more just and inclusive economy and country inspires my commitment to building a brighter future for Maryland and for generations to come.

My best,

Brooke
