Senator Hines says it was absolutely the right thing to do! UNCOVERING THE INSIDE POLITICAL STORIES IN OKLAHOMA POLITICS KATY SMITH AMERICA’S NATIONAL IDENTITY IS TETHERED TO DIVINE REVELATION Last week’s presentation to the U.S. Supreme Court illustrates the profound impact that a mind untethered from divine revelation has on the individual and society. A return of the American mind (and the American courts) to the Law of God would return our politics and our courts to a state of national sanity. Both the 21st century church and the society it is called to nurture have willfully disconnected the nation from its Christian foundations. Even our church folk see government and its culture as hands off as far as the church’s mission is concerned. We inherited a Christian government and culture from our 17th and 18th century forefathers. Without these Biblical roots, our cultural flower will continue to wither as the daily news makes clear. For this reason, we are currently a nation with no road map for either the present or the future. Disconnecting Christ from politics and society has left both the church and the broader society with no earthly rudder. Seeking to guide government, education, and culture untethered from Scripture has bred a twisted and perverted kind of tolerance for the unnatural and bizarre. This unholy tolerance is seen both in the church and in the wider culture as well. The feigned confusion over the nature of a woman by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson (and the U.S. Sente who confirmed her) has to do with the loss of national foundations and the growth of multiculturalism as a replacement for a multiethnic culture rooted on the firm and singular foundation of Scripture. Two years ago, Xi Van Fleet spoke to us about China’s threat to America’s future. Among the issues she addressed was multiculturalism as the road to national destruction. She addressed it also in her book, Mao’s America. Find her comments in our January 24, 2024 newsletter here. Order her new book, Made in America here. Though she does not yet describe herself as a Christian, she was firm with me that only Christianity can save China and only Christianity can save America. Last week, a well-known figure in Oklahoma politics, also a faithful churchman, objected to my connecting Scripture to governmental policy. This underlined again to me that America’s issues are in the roots of a failing American church. Our founders considered Scriptural connections to government and culture rooted deep in the history of the West. They considered the Bible a crucial cornerstone to the nation they began to construct. In their 1985 book The Jewish Polity, authors Daniel J. Elazar and Stuart A. Cohen noted that between 1765 and 1805, the predominant political references of America’s founders were to the book of Deuteronomy. Citations from Deuteronomy in our founder’s political discourse outnumbered citations from all the European philosophers combined. I should note that the book was published by my alma mater, the Indiana University Press! Harvard University Press had published two years earlier (1983) Harold J. Berman’s Law and Revolution: The Formation of the Western Legal Tradition. He writes that for centuries, the legal jurisprudence of the West was developed with a continuous stream of reference to divine revelation, the law of God. The source of a nation’s code of law represents an issue vital to its ability to govern. If law is based on human autonomy, it lacks any authoritative moral character. Only law founded in divine theonomy (as opposed to a human autonomy) carries with it persuasive moral substance. Of the use of Scripture in government, Frenchman, Jean Marc Berthoud, wrote in his book, In Defense of God’s Law: God wanted Himself to give a law which would be used as a rule to all men of the earth to regulate the mind, understanding, will, and affections . . . that, all together, they would recognize one God for their sovereign Prince and Lord and that they would recognize themselves as His servants and ministers . . . this law could function for us as true Christian ethics, economics, and politics if well attended to. Alexandr Solzhenitsyn in time agreed with the analysis of an elderly woman who had said of the fall of Russia: Men have forgotten God, that’s why all this has happened. A return of the American mind to the Law of God would return us to a state of national sanity and to courts throughout the land that gave just and righteous judgements. Yesterday, Dr. Everett Piper published his weekly article in the Washington Times. He focused on perhaps the most unhinged member of the U.S. Supreme Court. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, though she does not know what a woman is, affirms the idea that a man can become one. DR. EVERETT PIPER Sunday, January 11, 2026 THE BIZARRE WORLD OF KETANJI BROWN JACKSON This past Tuesday, the Supreme Court of the United States heard the cases of Little v. Hecox and West Virginia v. B.P.J. In both cases, the plaintiffs are suing the states of Idaho and West Virginia, respectively, for enacting laws that expressly prohibit men from competing in women’s athletics. During oral arguments, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson expressed her concerns. More specifically, Ms. Jackson asked attorneys to defend why their clients are telling boys who pretend to be girls that they cannot participate in female sports. "I guess I'm struggling to understand…,” said Justice Jackson. “[This law] expressly aims to ensure that transgender women can't play on women's sports teams. So why is that not [discrimination]...? [Your law] treats transgender women different than ciswomen, doesn’t it?” And thus, the woman who literally told us that she “cannot define what a woman is” proved again what every thinking person already knew. Today’s ruling class has a palpable disregard for what it means to be a human being. It’s really not that difficult to see that this is exactly who and what Justice Jackson and her tribe really are. In their own words, they are misogynists who deny that women are even real; they are misandrists who believe that all men are toxic; and they are misopediaists, who despise children so much that they are now arguing for the legal “right” to sacrifice the innocence of little girls and boys on the altar of their transgender gods. Just step back and look at the obvious. How can anyone not see that in Justice Jackson’s circus world of intersectionality, women are not winning? How can anyone deny the psychological damage suffered by young boys, who are being told that they might not be male, after all, but rather female? In what world can anyone argue with a straight face that any of this is right? How can you possibly believe in the dignity of children while at the same time applauding as eleven-year-olds are being dressed up in drag by a bunch of adults? How can you tell me you respect the value of a man when your default position is that everything that’s wrong with the world can be summed up in two words: “male toxicity”? And how can anyone claim to believe in the dignity of the female while at the same time telling all the nation’s girls that they are bigots for wanting to keep boys out of their showers, locker rooms, and toilets? We all need to stop and take a deep breath, let the adrenaline subside, and ask these basic questions. If our schools support women, then why do they teach our youngest girls that a female is little more than a leprechaun and unicorn - a make-believe social construct - rather than a biological fact? If our politicians believe in women’s rights, then why do they refuse to protect a woman’s most basic rights? If our progressive exemplars believe it’s wrong for a man ever to force himself on a woman, then how is it ever right for these smarter-than-thou folks to force a bunch of coeds to compete against Lia Thomas as he flaunts his male genitals in front of all these girls? And there’s more. If Justice Jackson and her progressive handlers truly believe in the dignity of women, then why are they defending the cultural appropriation of a woman’s identity by a bunch of delusional men? If “feminists” really believe in equal rights for females, then shouldn’t they stop pretending that a female is a little more than a fantasy and a fabrication of a dysphoric male? If left-leaning jurists like Justice Jackson really believe in gender inclusion, then why would they want to exclude those who are simply defending the objective integrity of the female gender? And, finally, why would an African-American female on the Supreme Court of the United States publicly defend the “blackfacing” of women in a manner that is just as cartoonish and insulting as it is when white people used to dress up in literal blackface to mimic and mock people of color? Isn’t Justice Jackson’s world, by definition, just hypocritical and bizarre? In his Abolition of Man, C. S. Lewis warned us of a time when we would become a characterless culture of “men without chests.” But even the prophetic foresight of the Oxford don fell short on this score. Even Dr. Lewis didn’t foresee that the next domino to fall would be a culture of “women without breasts” which, being so proud of its abolition of men, would next argue in the highest courts of the land for the legal right to sexually abuse its women and children under the banner of minority rights.
