Dear John,
I hope you will plan to join us this Friday, January 23, from 12-1 PM for our virtual Lunch and Learn: Setting the Agenda | Environmental Priorities for Maine’s 2026 Legislative Session.

The second half of the 132nd Maine Legislature is underway, and environmental advocates across Maine are aligning around a shared set of priorities for the year ahead. Join Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition (EPC) [[link removed]] for an overview of the policies shaping environmental, climate, and community advocacy in the 2026 legislative session.
Nick Janzen, Partnerships Director, and Sarah Woodbury, Legislative Director at Maine Conservation Voters/Alliance, will be joined by State Senator Anne Carney, as they walk through the coalition’s priority legislation — including Climate Superfund, Energy Fairness, Wabanaki Sovereignty, Land for Maine’s Future, conservation funding, and more. Together, these proposals reflect a coordinated effort to protect Maine’s land and water, advance environmental justice, strengthen climate resilience, and build a healthier, more affordable future for all.
Convened and facilitated by Maine Conservation Alliance, the EPC is a statewide coalition of 41 conservation, climate action, and public health organizations working collaboratively to advance people-centered environmental policy.
I hope to see you Friday,
Maggie
