How high will the Trudeau Liberals hike their carbon tax?
With an election less than two months away, it’s still not clear.
This past June, Environment Minister Catherine McKenna said her government would not increase it beyond $50 per ton in 2022.
Then yesterday, she said there was “no plan” to increase it but would “consult” with the provinces. Then hours later, she was back to insisting it wouldn’t increase past 2022!
With this kind of uncertainty, it’s no wonder so many Canadians are opposed to the Trudeau carbon tax.
Of course, since the entire point of the carbon tax is to make life more expensive for Canadians, the best move would be to just scrap it altogether.
So let’s tell Minister McKenna.
