I want to tell you about why Andrew’s race matters. 

Andrew is running for the Florida House District 59; it's a swing district that just flipped blue for the first time in 2018. Now the incumbent is vacating it, he's endorsed Andrew has his successor, and Andrew is fighting to keep it blue.

Despite famously being a 50/50 state, the Florida Legislature is dominated by Republicans thanks to partisan gerrymandering. We have an opportunity to redraw the maps in 2021, but only if we get more Democrats to Tallahassee first. Otherwise, Florida will continue to gerrymander districts, mishandle Florida’s COVID-19 response, deny healthcare to those who need it, and chip away at voter rights and a woman’s right to choose.

Andrew wants to make healthcare more accessible,  manage the response to COVID-19 to slow it’s spread in Florida, plan a safe learning environment for teachers and students, stimulate the economy through green jobs, and bring a new generation of leadership to Tallahassee.
