John — we’re exactly 100 days away from the most important election of our lifetimes. Let that sink in. That means there are only 100 days left to organize, mobilize, and fight harder than we ever have to elect gun safety champions to Congress and the White House.

We know we can prevent thousands of Americans from being murdered by senseless gun violence — and we have the majority of Americans on our side. But there’s a gigantic roadblock in our way to making meaningful gun safety reform, John: Mitch McConnell and the NRA. 

To date, the NRA has poured millions of dollars into the pockets of corrupt politicians like Mitch McConnell to block gun safety champions from passing life-saving legislation that will end the gun violence epidemic. And with just 100 days left until Nov. 3 – each passing minute, the stakes grow higher and higher.

Brady has been fighting the NRA since our organization was founded in the 1970s. And right now, we have a historic opportunity to end the NRA’s reign of terror and vote out their bought-and-paid-for politicians. The NRA is reeling for the first time in decades, and a recent poll shows Mitch McConnell just 1 POINT away from being ousted from office. We can defeat them this November — and that’s where you come in, John:

But as long as Mitch McConnell and the NRA block critical gun safety legislation, tens of thousands of Americans will continue to die due to their inaction.  

After every mass murder or preventable shooting, the same cycle repeats: an outpouring of grief, thoughts and prayers, and absolutely no action. That’s why our fight this year — this moment — is so important. Gun violence prevention champions will break McConnell’s obstruction and the NRA’s grip on power — and will finally take action to save lives. Brady is fighting hard to elect these champions and bring an end to the gun violence epidemic — but we’re relying on your support to do it.
