Republicans tried to rig the 2026 midterms by pushing red states like Texas to eliminate blue districts to make it impossible for Democrats to retake the U.S. House.

But Governor Gavin Newsom and all Californians stood up to Trump’s election-rigging plot. We turned to the voters and gave them the option of protecting fair elections, and Proposition 50 passed by a landslide.

Winning Prop 50 means that Democrats are still in the game for the U.S. House. But now it’s up to us to take this new map and flip the districts we need to win.

And the MAGA movement is not throwing in the towel with Republicans like Rep. Darrell Issa defiantly saying they will fight to keep their new districts red.
