Friend, what we're seeing across the country is heartbreaking.

We are seeing deeply disturbing attacks on immigrants and peaceful protesters – families ripped apart, communities terrorized, and lives put at risk by reckless federal agents.

Just two weeks ago in Minnesota, Renee Nicole Good tragically lost her life in an abhorrent shooting. Her death is a tragic reminder of what happens when fear, aggression, and dehumanization are allowed to guide policy.

Every day under this administration, our communities are being terrorized: federal agents detaining people by force, individuals being pulled from their cars, ICE agents tracking people down wherever they are. All across America – from Minnesota to Los Angeles to Chicago – we have seen the deep damage from these aggressive, violent raids: kids staying home from school, people afraid to go to work, and busy markets and small businesses that have gone quiet.

I know how it feels to be vulnerable and voiceless. It's why I swore to defend and protect those very communities the moment I became attorney general of New York – and it's why I remain committed to standing up for immigrants, protecting the right to peacefully protest, and holding those in power accountable when they abuse it.

But this requires collective strength to meet this moment. So please, if you believe our communities deserve dignity, safety, and justice, I'm asking you to sign my urgent petition before midnight.
