Renee Good was a mother. A wife. A daughter. Someone who mattered deeply to the people who loved her and the community she called home.
She was killed in her car by an ICE agent who shot her multiple times at close range. This tragedy was preventable and should never have happened.
And instead of confronting what really took place or demanding real accountability, Trump’s administration and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem rushed to justify the killing as “self-defense” — despite video footage and eyewitness accounts telling a different story.
They didn’t pause, or ask questions, or stand up for Renee’s basic civil rights.
This is exactly why so many communities live in fear every day. ICE continues to operate with violence and impunity, and when lives are destroyed, the government closes ranks rather than telling the truth.
