Dear Jack,
The 2026 session has finally begun, and I am excited to be back to work in Richmond! Over the past two years, we have made some progress on economic opportunity, education, voting rights, healthcare, and housing, and this session is an opportunity to build on that momentum. My team and I are ready to tackle this year’s legislation head-on and advocate for Loudoun’s families.
Back in Session

On Wednesday, I had the honor of being sworn in for my second term representing the 27th district. I am deeply grateful for the trust our community has placed in me and remain committed to working hard to ensure Virginians have the opportunity to build their dreams, support their families, and thrive here in the Commonwealth.
Appointed to the General Laws Committee

I am honored to now serve on the General Laws Committee and attended my first committee meeting. This committee hears issues related to housing, procurement, gaming, and more!
Current Legislative Portfolio
While I will be working on and voting on many issues that affect communities across Virginia, I want to take a moment to highlight some of the bills I’ve introduced this session. You can read the full list of all of the bills I have introduced here [[link removed]] .
Affordability & Consumer Protections
HB 1021: Allows affordable assisted living in localities with affordable housing programs.
HB 1022: Strengthens consumer protections for automatic renewals and continuous service offers. The bill ensures clear disclosure, a simple cancellation process, and removes exemptions for certain businesses, making it easier for consumers to manage subscriptions and services.
Education
HB 125: Closes a loophole in current law to protect the due process rights of tenured public school teachers.
HB 814: Establishes an advisory board to advise on state support for the development of history and social studies SOL materials.
HB 278: Requires school boards to create and publish language access plans to ensure parents with limited English proficiency can understand school communications
Health Care
HB 794: Requires health insurance to cover naloxone and other opioid overdose reversal drugs, including over-the-counter options, without extra approvals.
HB 795: Designates the Department of Health to lead efforts to reduce opioid overdoses and deaths in Virginia.
Voting Rights
HB 71: Gives local governments the ability to set the dates and hours for satellite offices that allow in-person absentee voting, as it is their responsibility to select those locations.
Four Constitutional Amendments
[[link removed]]
I voted to advance four constitutional amendments in a moment that truly mattered—putting the power where it belongs, in the hands of Virginians, to decide which rights to protect in our Constitution via a special election.
Capital Tours
For those of you who can’t join me in Richmond this session, we’re bringing a piece of the Capitol to you! Explore the State Capitol with new and updated virtual tours and an image gallery of the exhibits.

How My Office Can Help
Navigating state agencies can be confusing and difficult at times. As the delegate for House District 27, I can help you communicate with state agencies such as the Virginia Employment Commission, Departments of Taxation, Social Services, Transportation, and more! I can also submit inquiries with those agencies on your behalf. There are limits to what I can do, however. For example, I am unable to expedite cases or force state agencies to favor your inquiry, provide legal advice or recommend a specific attorney, intervene with judicial issues, overturn decisions, or be involved with matters between private businesses.
Whether you require my office’s assistance, want to bring an issue to my attention or invite me to a community event, please reach out here: [link removed] [[link removed]]
Alongside constituent services, I can submit drafts for commending and memorial resolutions. If you know of a person or organization in the district that deserves special recognition, please submit a request here: resolution request form. [[link removed]]
