The actions of ICE in recent months — including the fatal shooting of Renee Good, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen in Minneapolis — have raised profound concerns about accountability, use of force, and respect for democratic norms.

America shouldn’t look like this. Law enforcement agencies must operate within the bounds of our laws and uphold the rights and dignity of all citizens. That’s why Country First is holding a Day of Action on Tuesday, January 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET.

We will be contacting members of Congress and urging them to exercise their oversight responsibilities — to hold ICE accountable, ensure a full and transparent investigation into the shooting of Renee Good, and review the broader tactics used by ICE and DHS that are undermining public trust.
