Friend,
The big news this last week is that
we're waiting on the new round of orders from SCOTUS this coming
Tuesday.
That's when we may hear news about Viramontes, FPC's
critical “assault weapons”
lawsuit.
Two days ago, Viramontes
was distributed for conference.
But as in previous SCOTUS
conferences, there is no guarantee that there will be action on it
when the next round of orders is released on the 20th.
One thing that's for certain,
however, is that we NEED to prepare for the battle at SCOTUS RIGHT
NOW! Until we are granted cert, or receive a firm denial, we will keep
Fighting Forward in Viramontes!
And with the next SCOTUS orders
being released in a couple of days, FPC will be once again gearing up
for possible action in this very important case!
Meanwhile, here’s everything else
you may have missed during this last week in gun rights:
Mon, Jan 12
-
Viramontes v. Cook
County: Case distributed
for Jan. 16 conference by SCOTUS
-
Miller v. Bonta: Supplemental briefs filed at 9th Circuit
for both parties
Wed, Jan 14
-
FPC v. Bondi: Opposition to motion to hold case in
abeyance filed at 5th Circuit by FPC
Fri, Jan 16
-
Viramontes v. Cook County:
Case considered in
conference by SCOTUS
