On Monday, Donald Trump's Department of Justice did their main job, which is to go after Trump’s opponents, and launched an “investigation” into the Federal Reserve and its Chairman, Jerome Powell.
The attacks on Mr. Powell is an example of Trump weaponizing his Department of Justice — and distracting the country from his inability to lower costs for families.
Let me be clear — this attack is 100% political. The Federal Reserve’s duty is to set interest rates that are necessary for a fair, prosperous American economy and remain nonpartisan.
Jerome Powell’s dedication to nonpartisan public service has angered Donald Trump. He has berated Mr. Powell numerous times while pushing for lower interest rates.
