Rather than running on a platform of lowering costs, expanding healthcare, and building critical infrastructure for their districts, Republicans decided to cheat the system by changing our maps again as a last-ditch effort to keep the House red next year.

Instead of focusing on building a fairer democracy centered around real representation, their tactics have resulted in an even redder North Carolina. Following my re-election announcement, Cook Political Report changed our race rating from Likely R → Lean R.

But don’t be fooled: It’s not going to work. They’re doing this because they are scared of the power we hold when we come together. We’ve won before, and we’ll do it again with you on our team.
