Over a month ago, several of my colleagues and I released a video restating the law and a simple truth: When you serve our country, your oath to the Constitution comes above all. Above politics. Above power. Above any one man.

That was enough to send Trump into a meltdown. He called for my arrest. He called for my hanging. He called for me to go to jail. Now he’s sent the DOJ after me.

This is lawless, unhinged behavior—and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a bully who can’t stand being challenged.

Let me make something clear to the president: I will not be intimidated. I swore an oath to the Constitution, and I will honor it—no matter what threats Trump makes or who he sends after me.

I will keep doing my job for the people of Western Pennsylvania, and I will keep standing up for our democracy against any attack or pathetic threats. The oath to the Constitution is sacred, and it binds us all to the rule of law.

I first swore that oath in the Naval Academy when I was just a teenager. I swore it again when I was elected to represent Western PA in Congress. It’s not an oath I took lightly, and I intend to keep it—no matter what.
