Resistance can involve demanding the government protect and expand lifesaving programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
It can include participating in and holding Know Your Rights workshops, joining community ICE watch teams, or training the next generation of leaders.
It can involve supporting workers and rallying with labor leaders.
It can also mean simple acts of kindness, community service, or mutual aid.

You and our peaceful resistance to this authoritarian regime give me hope.
Immediately after ICE killed Renee Good in Minneapolis, our communities organized more than 1,200 ICE Out rallies and vigils across the country. Hundreds of thousands of people spoke out with an estimated 6,500 in Seattle, Washington; 3,000 in St. Cloud, Minnesota; and more than 350 people outside of the Alligator Alcatraz ICE black site detention camp in the remote Florida Everglades.
Today, I am in Minnesota to expose the truth about ICE terrorizing our neighborhoods. Together, we are holding them accountable.
This is what resistance looks like. More people are rising up to defend their neighbors of all races and ethnicities. Now, public opinion polls show that more Americans want to abolish ICE than keep it in place—and that combined with public pressure could shift more of my colleagues in Congress to join me in demanding an end to ICE.
The American people are clear in rejecting Trump’s unconstitutional power grabs and his attempts to put his hateful agenda over our rights and our laws.
We reject Trump’s tax cuts for billionaires and his handouts to billion-dollar corporations. We demand a government that works for the people.
We reject his racist travel ban and his crackdown on free speech―including pro-Palestine speech. We demand a true multi-racial democracy where everyone’s rights are respected, people get to have a say in where their tax dollars go, and lawmakers actually act in alignment with the American people who voted them into office.
We reject imperialism and the imperial boomerang, where the U.S. government practices oppressing people in places like Palestine and Venezuela―and then brings that oppression home.
We reject Trump and Republicans’ cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP, and more. Instead we demand a more expansive social safety net with universal healthcare, housing and food for all, debt cancellation, and monthly direct cash assistance for people and families in need.
