I’m excited to announce my 2026 nominations for the U.S. Service Academies. I am incredibly proud to nominate these exceptional young men and women from the 41st Congressional District for potential appointment to attend one of our nation’s prestigious Service Academies. Answering the call to serve is a noble commitment. These students represent the very best of our region having demonstrated exceptional academic performance, leadership, and dedication to service, exemplifying the qualities we seek in future military and service leaders.

Following evaluation by my Academy Nominations Selection Committee, thirty-two candidates were selected for their academic excellence, leadership, and physical character. The academies will now review these nominees for final appointment decisions, which will be made by the respective academies this spring. Click HERE to see the list of 41st District nominees.

The funding package approved this week by the House of Representatives addresses longstanding frustrations of Eastvale residents and businesses, including not having a post office in the city, as well as their lack of a single, unique zip code. 

Eastvale Post Office: The bill directs the U.S. Postal Service to conduct a comprehensive analysis related to the construction or acquisition of a new post office in the city of Eastvale.

Eastvale Zip Code: The bill directs the U.S. Postal Service to conduct a review of communities, including Eastvale, where assigned zip codes overlap municipal jurisdictions, resulting in multiple city listings or incorrect listings. The bill directs the Postal Service to include in its review a set of solutions that could be utilized to ensure proper designations in the future, as well as options to designate a single, unique zip code for jurisdictions, like Eastvale, that are affected by this issue.

Rest assured, I will keep advocating for Riverside County and working with local leaders throughout our appropriations process.

I met with Murrieta Mayor Cindy Warren this week in Washington, D.C. to discuss critical local projects, like the I-215/Keller Road interchange and Fire Station No. 6. As a senior member of the Appropriations Committee, I look forward to working with Murrieta leaders to find federal resources that advance regional priorities.

Fentanyl is killing Americans across the country. As Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee I have included record high funding levels for the National Guard’s Counterdrug Program. With these additional resources, the National Guard is carrying out more missions, trainings, and removal of illicit drugs and other seizures to make our communities safe, resulting in substantial revenue denial to the cartels.
