Federal agents in unmarked vans have been snatching protestors off the streets in Portland.

Now the feds are reported to be in Olympia and Seattle as well.

It could be just a matter of time before they come to Tacoma — or a city near you. Chilling.

And if they do, they’ll have help.

During protests in early June, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department circled over Tacoma numerous times over several days in its airplane equipped with infrared imaging. The Pierce County Sheriff’s website says that it uses this plane for surveillance and “other requests for assistance by various governmental agencies.”

Where did the Pierce County Sheriff get the money for this plane? Fully funded by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) — the same agency terrorizing protestors in Democratic cities across the country right now.

My Democratic opponent Rep. Derek Kilmer voted on the Appropriations Committee in favor of a bill to give DHS $50 billion dollars, even as DHS acts as Trump’s secret police.

In Congress, I will stand up to abuses of power by the government, and I will certainly never vote to fund them. Can you send me a $3 donation now to help me win, so I can fight for our civil liberties in Congress?

Trump is using DHS as his own secret police force, and we cannot let it stand.

While Rep. Kilmer talks a good game about fighting back against Trump, the truth is that he has voted to fund DHS, ICE, Trump’s wall, and Trump’s defense budget. Kilmer has also voted to extend the Patriot Act.

Democrats are supposed to fight AGAINST this stuff, not for it.
