Dear Friends,
Happy New Year! I am writing to share the latest updates with you on my recent Congressional work.
This week in Washington, I voted in support of the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (CORCA)—a commonsense, bipartisan bill that takes on widespread retail theft that harms businesses and raises prices for everyone.
I also voted to advance legislation that reforms the broken cashless bail system, which will keep repeat offenders off our streets and restore law and order.
Also this week, my team met with the East County Padre Dam Water District and the East County Transitional Living Center in El Cajon, a community-focused and participant-run rehabilitation and career development center. In Washington, we hosted multiple local groups, including Murrieta City leaders to discuss the federal transportation needs of southwest Riverside County.
As always, it is an honor to serve as your representative in Congress. For more information, please visit www.issa.house.gov and follow me on X, Facebook, and Instagram at @RepDarrellIssa.
