Taxpayer Money Should Never Go to Planned Parenthood For Any Reason Ever
By: Paul Batura
It might surprise you to learn that the Trump administration has restored millions of dollars in funding to pro-abortion groups, including Planned Parenthood.
Last spring, federal monies designated for the “Title X Family Planning Program” had been frozen — a move widely celebrated by pro-life advocates. The federal program, which dates to 1970, is a welfare subsidy that ostensibly offers “family planning services” to low-income individuals. Groups who facilitate these offerings include the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
Advocates for the program claim that the federal funds provide critical services for the poor — birth control, sexually transmitted disease testing, cancer screenings, etc.
Yet, dollars are fungible, and the prospect of providing any amount of money, let alone tens of millions of dollars, to groups that champion and celebrate the slaughter of innocent lives is deeply disturbing and objectionable.

Top 5 Moments From Supreme Court Arguments Over Girls Sports
By: Zachary M. Mettler
On January 13, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in two cases concerning Idaho and West Virginia laws prohibiting male athletes from competing in girls sports.
The Daily Citizen listened to the Court’s oral arguments — so you don’t have to.
The two cases, Little v. Hecox and State of West Virginia v. BPJ, could have massive implications for the future of girls sports and determine whether states can recognize biological reality and reserve girls and women’s sports for females. You can read the Daily Citizen’s summary of the cases.
Following oral arguments, it seemed likely a majority of the Court would uphold Idaho’s and West Virginia’s laws protecting female athletes.
Justice Samuel Alito asked Kathleen R. Hartnett, attorney for the male Idaho student who filed the lawsuit over the state’s Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, for a definition of what it means to be a “boy or a girl or a man or a woman.”
“We do not have a definition for the Court,” Hartnett replied, admitting she would not define what “sex” means.
“How can a court determine whether there’s discrimination on the basis of sex without knowing what sex means?” Alito replied.

Meet Three Heroes Working to Protect Colorado Children
By: Jeff Johnston
Voters in the deep blue state of Colorado have a chance to protect children, as children’s advocates Mark “Oz” Geist, Jennifer Sey and Erin Lee work to place three important measures on Colorado’s November 2026 ballot.
Geist, Sey and Lee are spearheading Protect Kids Colorado’s campaign to collect signatures for three ballot initiatives: The first increases penalties for predators who traffic children; the second keeps males from participating in girls sports; while the third bans irreversible “transgender” surgeries for minors.
In order to reach the state’s threshold of 125,000 valid signatures from registered voters, the organization has a goal of collecting at least 200,000 total signatures for each initiative. Petition signatures are due in February.
While the Trump administration is working to protect children and combat the transgender agenda, Colorado and other blue states are pushing back. A different federal administration could shift back toward harming children, so it’s important that measures like these are enshrined into state law.
Geist is running point on a commonsense ballot measure to raise human trafficking of a minor from a Class 2 to a Class 1 felony in Colorado, mandating life in prison without parole for perpetrators.
Geist was a member of the Annex Security Team which fought terrorists who attacked the U.S. State Department Special Mission Compound in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. Geist sustained injuries in the attack that still affect him.

American Deaths to Exceed Births Faster Than Expected, CBO Reports
By: Glenn T. Stanton
U.S. fertility has been falling to deeply concerning historic lows and according to a new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report, that decline is expected to worsen in the coming decades.
In fact, the CBO now predicts deaths will exceed births in America 10 years sooner than their 2024 projection. In January 2024, the CBO reported that American deaths would overtake the total number of births in 2040. This new report now predicts that will now happen for the first time in 2030. This is also three years sooner than their January 2025 report, which placed that ominous date in 2033.
If this reporting trend continues, the 2027 CBO report will likely place that date even sooner, in 2028 or 2029. This means we are hurtling even closer to a natural death over fertile life trend in America.
The CBO demonstrate how quickly population growth in the United States has been declining over the last few decades. The blue markers show how annual births over deaths will grow even more dramatic through 2050.
This means an increasingly aging population. “The segment of the population age 65 or older,” the report states, “is projected to grow more quickly, on average, than younger groups, causing the average age of the population to rise.” Immigration will then become the only way America can grow. However, the U.S. experienced net negative migration in 2025 for the first time in 50 years.

UK Petition to Halt Drug Trial Testing Puberty Blockers on Kids Passes 100,000 Signatures
By: Emily Washburn
A UK petition to cancel a clinical trial testing puberty blockers on children surpassed 100,000 signatures yesterday — a critical milestone which qualifies the petition for debate in parliament.
The Pathways Trial, which UK health authorities licensed, approved and agreed to fund in November, plans to test puberty blocking drugs on 226 transgender-identified children between 10 and 15 years old. The experiment will compare the bodies and brains of these children with those of children who don’t receive puberty blockers.
Therapist James Esses created the UK Government and Parliament petition to cancel the Pathways Trial on January 8, citing the known damage puberty blockers cause healthy children.
The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) banned doctors from administering puberty blockers to children outside of clinical trials in 2024 after The Cass Review, an evidentiary review of sex-rejecting medical interventions for minors, found insufficient evidence showing puberty blockers improve the wellbeing of children with sexual identity confusion.
“The government is aware of the potential irreversible impact (physical and emotional) of puberty blockers …,” the petition emphasizes. “Yet, hundreds of thousands of children are about to be given puberty blockers under a government-sanctioned trial.”
