All of a sudden, the map shifted dramatically. Mary Peltola is the first Democrat to win statewide office in Alaska in nearly *fifty* years — and she did it twice! Now she is in prime position to do it again.
A new poll, taken days before her campaign launch, shows Peltola leading Sullivan by 1.5pts — and that’s before people even knew she was running. His current approval rating sits at just 37%, likely thanks to his votes to gut Medicaid, which 32% of Alaskans rely on for their healthcare.
