John: Roy's extreme-right opponent is putting politics over public health, dangerously disregarding health guidelines to hold in-person fundraisers across North Carolina:
WRAL.com: "Forest, back on the campaign trail, draws maskless crowd in Statesville"
It's unfortunately not surprising that Dan Forest, who has said "masks don't work," is recklessly endangering the health and safety of our state to fundraise.
Don't just take it from us: like the Salisbury Post editorial board said, this is "the most egregious example of what to avoid" in our current health crisis.
This isn't the kind of leadership we need. North Carolina deserves a governor who leads by example, not one who ignores science.
Unlike Forest, Roy is relying on online contributions to be able to compete. If you're able can you rush $10 to make sure we can continue to have responsible, safe leadership in the Governor's office?

We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing. We've taken the step of cancelling all in-person fundraising for the time being, making grassroots online outreach and fundraising even more critical than before. Roy and the rest of the team will keep working for a more prosperous, better-educated, and healthy North Carolina, and we hope you will stay with us in this fight.
