Hi Friends,

This week, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell announced that the Trump
Administration has opened up an investigation into him and renovations
needed for the Federal Reserve’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. It’s
plain for anyone to see that this is another attempt by President Trump to
intimidate and punish anyone who defies him.

Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve are not political. The Fed was
designed to be independent from political forces so they could make
decisions that help our entire economy without influence from the
political whims of politicians. The Fed’s long-term decisions have helped
our economy recover from high inflation.

President Trump has blatantly attempted to influence them, and has
attacked Jerome Powell many times, even though he appointed Powell in the
first place. Trump has shown time and time again that he doesn’t believe
in the checks and balances that our founding fathers designed to avoid
centralized power. This is just another example of him trying to take full
control.

I will continue to fight back against any attempt from President Trump to
skirt the Constitution or our laws. America has no king and it never will.
