We’re writing to you today with a heavy heart, knowing that so many folks in our communities are feeling shaken, angry, and afraid by what we’re seeing across the country.

You shouldn’t have to worry about armed agents showing up in your neighborhood and tearing families apart, but that’s exactly what ICE is doing right now. They’re kicking in doors, grabbing people from their homes, and leaving entire communities shaken and afraid. This isn’t “law and order” as Trump may want you to believe — it’s chaos, it’s cruelty, and it’s deadly.

Let us be clear from the jump: we are not sitting back and letting this happen. We are fighting back — hard — and we need you standing with us.

So, if  you’re able, please consider chipping in $5, $10, or whatever you can right now to help us fight back and take back the House  because staying silent while this keeps happening just isn’t an option anymore.

Just look at what’s happening in Minneapolis: federal agents have been involved in multiple shootings in recent days, including the deadly killing of a community member that sparked massive protests and national outrage. Tens of thousands have taken to the streets to demand accountability and justice. And in the chaos surrounding those operations, families have been caught in the crossfire — including reports of flash-bang grenades and tear gas striking a vehicle and sending children to the hospital, one as young as six months old.

This isn’t distant. This isn’t abstract. This is happening to real people — mothers, fathers, children — just like ours.

If you’re feeling shaken right now, you’re not alone. We feel it too. Every day, we’re watching people’s lives be upended by an enforcement strategy that refuses to respect human dignity or basic common sense. It’s horrifying. And it’s unacceptable.

But here’s where we can start to turn things around: we can push back. We can fight for a Congress that reflects our values, one that stands up to reckless federal overreach and protects our communities instead of purposely terrorizing them.

Right now, we need to build power and organization to take back the House majority and hold those responsible accountable.
