“Cori, we love that you’re running again, but why would you want to come back? You’re free.”
A couple of weeks ago, I was interviewed by The Washington Post. The publication asked me about the reactions I’ve gotten from my former colleagues since launching this campaign, and I told them the truth: many are joyful, but surprised.
This work isn’t glamorous or fun—but at a time when our leaders are abandoning our families, communities, and democracy, it’s essential. People are having to choose between paying bills or putting food on the table. Our government is funding a genocide, attacking its citizens, and undermining our democracy.
In Missouri’s 1st Congressional District, our representative is too busy making his billionaire donors happy to actually fight for the people who live here.
I’m stepping up again because I have to.
We’re going back to Congress more prepared than ever.
We’re going back to fight for lower grocery bills, better medical care, and more affordable housing. And we know how to get this work done—because we’ve been there before.
Can I count on you to be part of the movement to help ensure families across St. Louis can thrive and survive by chipping in now? Whether it’s $5 or $500, it all makes a difference. [[link removed]]
