* Pushed back against MAGA lies after an ICE agent murdered a mother in Minneapolis, when right-wing media tried to rewrite what people could clearly see with their own eyes.
* Covered the permanent shutdown of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and what it means for rural and local news.
* Exposed the real stakes of Trump’s actions in Venezuela, cutting through propaganda and “both sides” coverage dominating the media.

Our work reaches millions of people — often in moments when legacy outlets hesitate, sanitize the truth, or stay afraid and silent.

And the media environment is only getting harder.

Billionaire-owned outlets are retreating. Public broadcasting has been gutted. Trump-aligned media is filling the void with propaganda and intimidation — at the very start of a consequential election cycle.

So here’s our ask:

We need to raise $10,000 in the next 48 hours to stay on track toward our January goal of $75,000.

If we hit this mini-goal, we can:

* Keep rapid-response reporting fully funded
* Continue covering stories other outlets are pulling away from
* Expand our reach in communities losing access to real journalism
