Tomorrow, my friend Abigail Spanberger will make history as the first woman ever sworn in as Governor of Virginia.
Frankly, I couldn't be prouder of Virginia’s next governor.

I know the first couple weeks of 2026 have been challenging. But Abigail's swearing in reminds us that when grassroots Democrats show up, put in the work, and fight like hell to organize our communities, we win.
While Trump and his allies in Washington try to spread chaos and division, we're going to keep doing what works: showing up, fighting for our neighbors, and proving that Virginia values are stronger than their politics of fear.
Virginians across the Commonwealth came together to make this moment possible, and I couldn't be prouder of the work you put in to elect Abigail. The tides are turning here in Virginia, and I wholeheartedly believe our Commonwealth is in wonderful hands with Abigail at the helm. I have full faith that she will lead with the same integrity, heart, and dedication that have defined her entire career.
