Ernest Suggs needs your help to stop his execution before it’s scheduled! For
more than 30 years, Florida has held Ernest on death row for a killing he did
not commit. There was no direct evidence linking him to the murder, and there
are alternative suspects who have never been investigated thoroughly.



Even the murder victim’s daughter has long believed that Ernest is innocent
and is actively fighting to make sure Florida does not send him to the death
chamber.



Many questions about his case are still unresolved, and there is new evidence
that should be heard by a jury. Add your name to urge Florida state officials
to consider all new evidence in Ernest’s case.

Florida is one of only two states that don’t require a unanimous decision to
impose a death sentence.But if Ernest was tried today, he would not be sent to
death row. In 1992, Ernest was sentenced to death by a non-unanimous jury vote
of 7 to 5. Today, Florida law requires at least 8 jurors to vote for death.



Regardless of the jury vote, Ernest should never have been convicted. He
should not be on death row. He should not be executed.



Since the beginning of last year, Florida has rushed to execute people at an
unprecedented rate. They ignored pleas from victims' families and the discovery
of new evidence. Just like in Ernest’s case.



We need your signature to remind state officials what a huge mistake it was to
send Ernest to the row—and what they can do to fix it.
